Gravesano Studio (Scale 1:5) is an interactive sculpture based on the floor plan of the main studio in Hermann Scherchen's Experimental Electroacoustic Studio in Gravesano, completed in 1954. The audience is invited to rearrange the sculptural elements, creating new configurations that pay homage to the original studio's acoustic adaptability.
Accompanying the sculpture is Workers on the Roof (2015), a photograph enlarged and printed on a PVC tarpaulin. The image, sourced from a letterhead used by Scherchen to announce the studio's opening, serves as a backdrop to the sculpture.
