Sticks and Chains
2010—
Wooden dowels, chains
Length variable

The interactive sculpture, titled after the zip code of the city where it is presented, consists of interconnected chains and wooden dowels. The number of dowels and chains varies for each presentation to suit the space. Inspired by Albert Meister's book La soi-disant utopie du centre beaubourg, 1976, the sculpture serves as a tool for the audience to draw lines on the floor and lean against walls, echoing the book's idea of new 'beaubourgs' disseminating to other cities.
